I play games to get out of realism, not to be brought back to it.

The PS3,... well, the little said about that, the better...

Although Microsoft and Sony don't want to believe it, Nintendo is taking money out their pockets every day while they try to tell the rest of us that it's not really happening
Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.

Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped


Most decent PC games run on dedicate servers. The game is hosted on a remote computer and everyone connects to that.

XBox Live hosts games on people's XBoxes, so if that person has a crap connection the game will lag for everyone. On a dedicated server, one person's lag will not effect the connection between others. Also, in peer hosted games the host gets an advantage in that they have no latency.

I'm fairly certain Wii games are peer hosted as well. When they're talking about Nintendo's servers, all they probably do is hold a list of games to connect to which are hosted on peoples own Wiis
The PS3 uses dedicated servers and lately I've become more and more surprised that Microsoft charge for XBL at all, it doesn't make sense.
